  3. I AM tired of cursing the Bishop,
  4. (Said Crazy Jane)
  5. Nine books or nine hats
  6. Would not make him a man.
  7. I have found something worse
  8. To meditate on.
  9. A King had some beautiful cousins.
  10. But where are they gone?
  11. Battered to death in a cellar,
  12. And he stuck to his throne.
  13. Last night I lay on the mountain.

  15. There in a two-horsed carriage
  16. That on two wheels ran
  17. Great-bladdered Emer sat.
  18. Her violent man
  19. Cuchulain sat at her side;
  20. Thereupon'
  21. Propped upon my two knees,
  22. I kissed a stone
  23. I lay stretched out in the dirt
  24. And I cried tears down.
